Social Media for Cat Lovers
Imagine a vibrant digital space where cat enthusiasts gather to share their love for feline companions. This app provides a platform for discussions, photo sharing, and event planning—all centred around our favourite whiskered friends!
WeMeow is a simulated project used to sharpen my Figma claws. Besides this, I've also rolled out an Italian restaurant site to familiarise myself with the buttery-smooth responsive interfaces and seamless prototyping.

Our app caters to a vibrant community of cat lovers:

Cat Owners: This audience are experts of cats. They are well-versed in various cat breeds, behaviours, and care practices, and are ready to impart that wisdom onto other newbie cat owners.

Cat Enthusiasts: This audience wears their love for whiskers like a badge of honour, regardless if they have pets themselves. They're here to adore kittens and religiously seek out cat content.

Social Media Savvy: Familiar with social media platforms, this audience can hop in on this new app and try out various features. They’ve mastered the art of memes, GIFs, and emoji hieroglyphics, and who's to say that can't be cat-related?
Defining App Features
Inspired by various existing social media platforms, our app seamlessly blends the following features:

Photo Sharing: Much like Instagram, users can upload captivating cat photos and curate a feed of their lives with their pets. They can also upload stories to provide live updates of their little felines.

Interactive Comments: The comment section fosters lively discussions and encourages meet-ups and gatherings.

Topic-Specific Forums: Our forum sections—Events, Health, Casual, Art, and Product—mirror subReddits. Here, users delve deeper into specific cat-related topics, whethee it is to seek serious advice or enjoy casual anecdotes.
Explore the Prototype
To begin, click the paw for the main feed, where you can view stories posted by your friends and several trending topics across various categories.
To get a feel of what the forum looks like, tap on the first card "Events". Here you will see the post followed by several user interactions.
You can also explore your profile, where you can build a simple profile for not only yourself but also for your cats, see your activity on community posts, and lastly share pictures and stories of your fuzzy friends. To search for other users, simply tap on the search icon.
